Porsche published the model-year update on the Cayenne Electric on September 16. Paint to Sample is on the car now, which pushes the palette to 105 shades — thirteen standard, then the long tail where the money and the taste go. Delgada Green stitching if you want it. Extended interior style package if you want more.
Two pieces of hardware worth the stop. First: electrically operated doors, all four — a Porsche first — with sensors, and a close from the Digital Key, the seatbelt, or the brake pedal. New. Decide later whether it is theater or manners. Second, and more useful day to day: Porsche Wireless Charging, up to 11 kW at roughly 90 percent efficiency — pad on the car, pad on the ground, no cable. Staged rollout; orderable in Europe first; real hardware, not a slide deck.
Then the cabin trick: massage seats paired with 4D audio — sixteen air cushions and six actuators per front seat, five programs. Cayenne Electric SUV and Coupé both. None of it is on the Macan you can buy off the lot this week. Different car, different appetite.

Vals is a New Orleans taco house with its first Baton Rouge room at 7242 Perkins Road. The number on the door is the taco: five dollars. In 2026 that reads like a misprint until the plate lands and it is not. Fast, loud, built for a counter stool or standing room when the place fills — which it will.
The bar is a Cure partnership, so the drinks are not a garnish on a taco line. Happy hour runs 4 to 6, the hour when the food and the glass make the same case. Go early. Order more than you planned. Let the next stool tell you what to fix on the second round.
This is not last issue’s pot pie. Different street, different hunger.

Rolex used this year’s Watches & Wonders to make the steel Daytona harder to walk past. The dial is the story: grand feu enamel, all white — the polar reading of the old panda — fired glass, not lacquer. Lacquer yellows. This one should still read white in forty years.
Then the rare move: an exhibition caseback. Calibre 4131 on display, joining the ice-blue Platinum and the Le Mans as the Daytonas that let you watch the thing run.
